Repair Technician for Transport Service

We are currently looking for a Repair Technician for the Transport Service unit for a temporary position until August. Do you have knowledge in hydraulics, electrical work, and welding? Do you want to work with repairs and maintenance of various kinds? Then this might be the job for you!

We are looking for someone who can contribute to the overall success of the Warehouse and Transport unit, ensuring that our machines, vehicles, trailers, containers, and equipment maintain good quality every day.

About the Role

As a repair technician with us, you will primarily be responsible for performing quality repairs and maintenance of machines, vehicles, and trailers. You will be responsible for modifications of heavy vehicles, containers, and other equipment. Here, you will be one of our problem solvers, and the challenges we face are rarely solvable by a manual. This allows room to test your own suggestions together with your competent colleagues.

You will be available in the operations where there is a need and may need to support repairs or maintenance to varying degrees of various equipment at our different recycling and facilities. As an employee with us, you are expected to actively contribute to the development of the operations. Of course, you are also expected to contribute to good collaboration with colleagues and customers.

The workshop consists of 4 employees who together start the day at 07:00 to make an overall plan for the day and the coming days.

The workshop is available for repairs for many parts of Vafabmiljö's operations and we also handle urgent repairs, which may cause the plan made in the morning to change during the day. The day ends with ensuring order and cleanliness in the premises for the next day.

Work takes place both indoors and outdoors year-round.

We See That You Have:

Current basic knowledge or experience in hydraulics and electrical work.
Completed secondary education.
Driving license B.
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It Is Meritorious If You Also Have:

It is strongly meritorious if you have welding training (MMA, MIG, MAG, TIG, Gas Cutting).
Experience in repairing heavy vehicles.
Experience in repairing containers.
Fall protection training.
Vocational certificate or training certificate for wheel loader or equivalent.
Vocational certificate or training certificate for excavator or equivalent.
Overhead crane license.
Driving license C.
Hot work certificate.

Other Important Information:

The position is a full-time temporary position located at our Operations Office at Gryta Waste Facility, Returvägen 20, in Västerås.

The temporary position is initially until August.
