Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you get to do both. We are now looking for a Process Operator for the Industry division and our manufacturing operations in Hässleholm. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Svevia has four factories for the production of bitumen emulsion, a binding product suitable for most road applications. We offer everything from standard products for asphalt layer adhesion to special variants that meet various functional requirements.
We are currently undergoing an organizational change, which means we are looking for several driven process operators for our asphalt plants across the country. Do you want to be part of our journey – don’t hesitate to apply!
Your mission as a Process Operator
As a Process Operator, you will have a very independent role and will be based at the factory in Hässleholm. At the same time, this role is intended to support other factories during production peaks, which will involve a lot of travel, sometimes for extended periods. You will be part of a larger national team with high competence where efficiency and profitability are the focus.
As a process operator, you are responsible for controlling and monitoring the manufacturing process of binders, as well as quality control and testing. You are responsible for ongoing service and maintenance of the facility, as well as ordering and inventory management of raw materials. Your tasks will also include customer contacts, production follow-up, and some product development. The operations are seasonal, with a strong emphasis on the summer half of the year. Travel may be required, and work at other emulsion plants may occur depending on planned production.
Who are you?
We prefer that you have previous experience working as, for example, a machine operator, but it is not a requirement.
Experience in repair and ongoing maintenance work is an advantage.
Experience from industry, process industry, or similar is a merit but not a requirement.
You are accustomed to working with computers.
A B driver's license is a requirement for this position.
A forklift license is an advantage but not a requirement.
You are genuinely interested in industrial manufacturing, and experience from the coating industry is advantageous. A minimum of a high school education or equivalent, preferably with a focus on industry, process, or machinery. An interest in production, technology, and mechanics is desirable to handle the tasks effectively. You appreciate all aspects of product development, from manufacturing to sampling and finally the finished product. You need to be service-oriented, practical, and enjoy having contact with customers. You thrive on having and taking responsibility, as well as with independent tasks with a high degree of freedom.
This position involves shift work, where you will work both morning and afternoon/evening shifts.
The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Start date according to agreement, preferably in March, no later than the beginning of April.
Part of something bigger
Svevia's industrial division is in an expansive phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in the coating industry in Sweden.
It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes aggregate, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 own quarries, in-house production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastics, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses and ensure that the products meet standards and requirements. Our skilled teams in milling, paving, tank coating, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. The decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are achieved with steaming asphalt machines, large snowplows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your expertise, you can make a difference on the road. And we always prioritize safety – both with care for your own work environment and the safety of others.
For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your knowledge in your specific area or move on to a supervisory position.
Together, we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
