Dairy Manager at Coop Munkebäckstorg

Coop Munkebäckstorg is a well-established and appreciated store with a good assortment and a clear ecological profile. Our opening hours are 7 AM to 10 PM every day of the week to provide good accessibility for our customers. The store is currently run by about 17 permanent employees, plus a number of part-timers.

We are now looking for someone who wants to help ensure that our Dairy department becomes something truly special!

In your role as Dairy Manager, in addition to the regular tasks that occur in a store of this size, you will:

  • Plan and be responsible for purchases
  • Plan product placement and displays
  • Work actively with physical destruction and waste
  • Follow up sales against budget
  • Lead the staff in the department

The position of Dairy Manager will be your main responsibility, but in addition to this, some work in the Fruit & Vegetables department and other positions in the store will also be included. You will have specialized expertise in the area, ensuring that the development and operation of the departments are carried out efficiently and professionally. It is important that you are confident in taking responsibility, leading and distributing work in the department, as well as being comfortable with both sales responsibility, result responsibility, and ensuring that the daily operations in the department run smoothly. You will work independently and handle everything from orders to waste and gross profit. In addition, you will be part of the team picking in the store.

Previous experience as a department manager/team leader in grocery retail is seen as a strong merit, and experience with Store Office, SAP, and CAO is advantageous. Previous work with fresh produce is also considered a merit.

The position is a permanent employment of 30 hours/week (with a great possibility for more hours in the future). The start date will be agreed upon. Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekend. Recruitment is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. A probationary period applies.

  • Good Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement
  • Previous experience as a department manager/team leader in grocery retail is a requirement
  • Previous experience with Store Office, SAP, and CAO is advantageous.
  • Previous experience working with fresh produce is advantageous
