Training Employment for Nurses in Region Kalmar County

Region Kalmar County continues to invest in further enhancing competence within specialized healthcare.

As a nurse within Region Kalmar County, you have the opportunity to further your education through a so-called training employment.

A training employment means that you, as a nurse, study a specialist education during working hours with maintained salary and also receive a position within the specialty you have trained in. The employment is permanent with a scope of 100% and placement as a training employee.

Upon completion of the education, you will receive employment as a district nurse at one of the Primary Care Administration's health centers in the county.

When applying for a training employment, you also need to apply for the specialist nurse education here (#). The deadline for applications to the specialist nurse education for district nurses starting in the autumn semester of 2026 is March 16. An offer for training employment can only occur once you have been accepted into the program.

About You

We are primarily looking for you who are a licensed nurse and employed by Region Kalmar County. We would like you to have a few years of experience working in primary care.
