The habilitation is a county-wide specialist service that exists in five locations in Dalarna. Each unit has a county-wide Adult Habilitation and Child and Youth Habilitation with interdisciplinary teams that possess medical, psychological, social, and educational expertise. The habilitation has an important and challenging mission to make life more possible for children, adolescents, and adults with congenital or early-acquired disabilities, as well as for their relatives. The interventions should contribute to a functioning daily life, good quality of life, and participation in society. We are now looking for a physiotherapist for Borlänge or Falun. Do you, as a physiotherapist, want an exciting assignment where you get to work with patients who have various types and often extensive disabilities? Many patients you will follow for a long time, giving you the opportunity to get to know them and plan and follow up on interventions together with them in the long term.

Physiotherapist, Adult Habilitation Borlänge and Falun Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include prescribing and following up on assistive devices, preventive treatment interventions, counseling and guidance to the patient's daily network, assessments of functional ability, and much more. As a physiotherapist, you primarily focus on movement impairments. This occurs in close consultation with the patient, relatives, and other professionals within the team. You will assess, initiate treatment, and follow up on the patient's motor functions and development in the patient's various environments. You provide interventions to help the patient maintain, develop, and/or compensate for physical abilities. You will also have the opportunity to conduct training sessions based on the wishes and needs of our users. You will collaborate with other healthcare providers and municipal services, among others. You will be offered an introduction, access to a supervisor within the profession, and a mentor at the workplace. The profession also has professional teams every week together with physiotherapist/physical therapist colleagues in the county, contributing to your development. Working as a physiotherapist suits you if you want to work long-term with patients and in teams with several other professions. You will learn a lot about different diagnoses and sometimes rare health conditions. Working at the habilitation means constantly learning new things and developing in your profession. Requirements:

• Licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist
• Valid B driver's license (travel is required in the position)

Meritorious:

• Experience in the profession
• Experience/knowledge of various disabilities
