About the role of cost engineer at Peab

As a cost engineer on the civil engineering side at Peab, you will work independently with everything from budget calculations on concept sketches to detailed calculations based on completed construction documents. You will drive the process from tender documents to completed bid proposals, and the work may involve having several projects underway simultaneously. Your professional role includes analyzing, identifying risks, and finding opportunities to discover alternative competitive solutions for our own and clients' projects. The work is often carried out in close collaboration with your colleagues such as purchasers, site managers, and project managers. Depending on your engagement, background, and previous experience, you have great opportunities to help develop the role.

Furthermore, in the role of cost engineer, you will be an important employee in laying the foundation for our future projects. Your area of responsibility is to ensure that we have competitive and commercially secure bids. You will have many opportunities to help develop and influence the design of future projects that develop our society in both big and small ways.

Your experiences

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in engineering or economics, or equivalent work experience. To succeed in the role, we see that you have a few years of experience in the construction industry where you have worked with production projects, cost calculations, and/or project economics. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.

Meritorious

• Experience in a leading role within civil engineering production.
• Knowledge and experience of MAP or equivalent calculation systems.

You enjoy working independently with the ability to drive your own work forward but also find it easy to collaborate and are used to working towards clear deadlines.
