Are you a nursing assistant looking to develop in your professional role? Welcome to us at ward 41 Stroke Unit/Neurorehab, part of the Neuro Center at Sunderby Hospital. We have inpatient care and rehabilitation for neurological patients and are located in accessible facilities on the 4th floor. Adjacent to the department are the Stroke Rehabilitation Team (SHR), Stroke Reception, Baclofen Reception, and Rehabilitation Medicine Reception.
Neurorehab has the highest level of rehabilitation in Norrbotten and is quality certified according to Carf. Here, patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury are cared for and rehabilitated.
We are looking for
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience in rehabilitation is an advantage.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities. To succeed in the role, you need to have good collaboration skills and be flexible. As a person, you have good problem-solving abilities and are skilled at building relationships.
What you will work with
As a nursing assistant in the stroke unit, you will care for the patient throughout the entire care chain, from the initial acute phase and then on to rehabilitation. The work on the ward is based on clear routines grounded in the National Guidelines for Stroke Care from the National Board of Health and Welfare. The stroke unit is part of the emergency chain called Save the Brain, which means that the department receives patients for clot-dissolving treatment (thrombolysis).
Ward 41 consists of two teams, the Stroke Unit and Neurorehab. Our nursing assistants prioritize patient safety and provide basic care with a rehabilitation focus. In both teams, we work in a multiprofessional manner, including nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, and rehabilitation instructors. We are committed and focus on person-centered care, implementing a rehabilitative approach in our daily work. We have strong cohesion and an open climate in the department.

We offer a permanent position with work during days, evenings, and weekends. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
