Leadership, Pedagogy, and Artistic Expression

This is an opportunity to combine leadership, pedagogy, and artistic expression with a focus on the development and leisure activities of children and youth.

Your Responsibilities

We are a school with high satisfaction and experienced teachers who teach in our facilities in Växhuset and at other schools in the municipality, as well as at two branches in Bäckby and Vallby. As a department head, you will work in creative environments and drive organizational development together with the unit manager/principal and fellow department heads. Together, we focus on a holistic perspective and development issues. The role requires knowledge of development processes and experience in driving change initiatives.

You will have personnel responsibility for approximately 25 teachers whom you lead with great trust and confidence in their expertise, strengths, and development potential. Your department primarily includes music-oriented subjects with associated subject teams. For you, the employees are the greatest asset, and you create engagement and a shared vision of set goals. Through your leadership experience, you build long-term sustainability and efficiency.

Your Competence

You are motivated by collaboration and see the importance of having good networks and participating in various collaboration forums. This provides you with opportunities to learn from others and find more ways to reach new target groups. To contribute to a leading cultural school, monitoring the external environment is part of your daily routine.

To take on this role, you have experience working in a leadership position. You also have experience in education and/or the cultural sector, preferably including cultural school activities. You have a higher education degree in pedagogy or the cultural field, or relevant experience for the role, along with a strong commitment to learning and artistic expressions. You are curious about all our art forms and thrive in unpretentious collaboration.
