Internal Service Assistant at Botkyrka Municipality

The Technical and Property Management Department is responsible for the municipality's premises, properties, and technical infrastructure – from planning new construction projects to operations, maintenance, and development. We work with water and sewage, cleaning services, grounds maintenance, transport, and vehicle services. Our goal is to build and manage sustainably and climate-smart to ensure a safe and functioning everyday life for the residents of Botkyrka. We are about 300 employees who, in our various functions, work with solutions based on the needs of citizens and the municipality's common goals.

Job Responsibilities

If you are the spider in the web and enjoy supporting various processes and have an administrative mindset, you have found the right place! Internal Service is responsible for the municipality's internal service in our properties.

We are about 20 employees who work together to deliver high-quality service to our citizens and employees. We are now looking for an internal service assistant for the Internal Service unit. As an internal service assistant, you will be responsible for the comfort in office spaces, kitchens, mail and package handling, orders, and administration and management of other office services.

The role is broad, where you will be assigned tasks and challenged. You will report to your immediate supervisor and work closely with all employees of the department.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Approximately 1-2 years of previous experience in similar work within municipal operations.
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish.

To thrive in the role, we believe you enjoy driving your own work forward and have the ability to work solution-oriented and suggest improvements. Furthermore, we believe you have the ability to structure and plan your work well and can handle simpler janitorial tasks (hanging up pictures, changing light bulbs, troubleshooting IT equipment, etc.). Since the job involves close dialogue with various employees in the organization, you have good communication skills and dare to take initiatives in these contexts. You are always clear and transparent, keep your promises, act professionally, and are businesslike in all meetings. You work independently with the ability to prioritize and structure your work and solve problems while working towards development.

The position includes full-time work during the summer (June to August) with the possibility of continued hourly employment after the summer. It is important that you can work the entire summer. Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the advertising period.
