About the position

We are looking for two radiology nurses for mammography, where you will be employed as a radiology nurse with a mission in the chosen development area. As a radiology nurse with a development assignment, you will have allocated time for administrative work related to your defined mission area, Clinical Mammography or Image Quality.

The assignment means that you actively contribute to development, quality assurance, and improvement work within the operation. In addition to the assignment work, you will be clinically placed in all parts of the mammography services, including rotation to MR breast.

Clinical Mammography

In the role of development nurse, you will be responsible together with the method-responsible physician for updating the method book for clinical mammography, developing ultrasound routines, and training and supervising colleagues and students.

Image Quality

In the role of development nurse in image quality, you have overall responsibility for quality assurance of imaging within the operation. You work independently to educate and develop colleagues based on established guidelines for imaging. The role also includes adjusting and updating routines for the screening operation to ensure high and equitable quality.

We are one of three mammography units in Stockholm and have an annual assignment of approximately 60,000 screening examinations, making us the unit with the smallest screening assignment.

In addition to the screening operation, we also conduct clinical mammography, ultrasound, and MR of breasts for patients with referrals.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed radiology nurse
• Experience working in clinical mammography and screening
• Experience in mentoring and/or education

Meritorious:

• Experience in development work and/or improvement processes
• Master's degree
• Experience in MR.
