Property Technician Wanted at Gotland Hotels & Properties

Gotland Hotels & Properties is now looking for a Property Technician for our facilities. Do you want a varied job where you get to take responsibility, solve problems, and contribute to well-functioning properties? Then you might be the property technician we are looking for!

Our portfolio currently consists of hotels, holiday resorts, residential properties, and commercial real estate. We are facing a strong growth focus in the coming years. We will achieve this through the management and development of our existing property portfolio, as well as investments in new properties and new construction.

As a property technician, you will be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of our properties. The work is varied and involves both practical and technical tasks with a focus on quality, service, and long-term maintenance. It is important that our properties are kept in good condition and are a safe place for our guests, customers, and employees. You will work in a team where you collectively are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the properties.

As a person, you are responsible and self-driven, which is essential for this position. We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, responsible, and solution-focused. You enjoy working both independently and in a team, have a structured work approach, and a positive attitude. You have a good ability to collaborate and a strong focus on guest/customer satisfaction and service.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have a technical vocational education in property technology or equivalent, for example in electrical, plumbing, ventilation/OVK, control and regulation technology, operational technology, or energy technology. You have documented experience of practical operational and maintenance work in properties, where you have independently worked with troubleshooting, measures, and preventive maintenance in technical systems.

You need to have a good understanding of systems and facilities and be comfortable working with fault reports, rounds, simple repairs, and contact with contractors and suppliers. A B driver's license is a requirement, as well as computer skills (for case management, documentation, and follow-up) and good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

Most of our properties owned and managed by Gotland Hotels & Properties are located around Visby Harbor. Here you will find office spaces and attractive restaurant and retail locations operating year-round. We also own our own hotel and holiday operations properties, as well as two residential buildings for rental to individuals. We continuously work on developing our property portfolio.

The facilities we own and manage today include Scandic Visby, Visby Gustavsvik, and Östersjöparken in Alskog on eastern Gotland, a future development area within the tourism industry where we also manage the surrounding land covering over 48 hectares.
