About the Role

We are currently looking for an operational buyer for our client in Gothenburg for a temporary position of ten months starting in the spring. Do you want to develop within operational purchasing and Supply Chain in an environment characterized by collaboration, responsibility, and continuous improvements? Then this could be the role for you.

In the role of operational buyer, your main responsibility is to ensure that the supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently. You will ensure that components are in stock at the right time and in the right quantity while contributing to cost-effective solutions. We are looking for someone who enjoys working both independently and in teams, who dares to try new solutions, and who takes responsibility for getting the job done.

Your main tasks include:

• Operational purchasing of steel for several production units in the Nordic region
• Planning, monitoring, and optimizing purchasing flows including MDM (material master data)
• Analysis of forecasts/orders, delivery precision, inventory, and cost development
• Identify, drive, and follow up on improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Cross-functional collaboration with production, planning, suppliers, and other support functions
• Contribute to the development of purchasing processes from a holistic perspective

We are looking for someone who:

• Has an academic degree in logistics, purchasing, industrial economics, or equivalent
• Alternatively, 1–3 years of experience in operational purchasing and/or Supply Chain
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented, while also being self-driven and capable of making decisions within given frameworks. You are proactive and improvement-driven, enjoy responsibility, and appreciate collaborating in cross-functional teams. Additionally, you are engaged, curious, and have a strong desire to learn and develop in your role.

About the Employment

This is a temporary position for 10 months where you will be employed as a consultant with us at OIO.

• Location: Gothenburg
• Salary: Fixed monthly salary
