We at the Intensive Care Unit in Örnsköldsvik are now looking for Nursing Assistants/Care Assistants for the summer of 2026. In the Intensive Care Unit, patients with vital function failures are cared for. We have about 35 employees in the department. We work in teams around the critically ill patient, where everyone has an important role to fill. We work every other weekend in the summer and in three shifts. There is constant development within intensive care, and the advanced medical technology is a stimulating factor in our daily work.

Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant to ICU, Örnsköldsvik Summer 2026

Working in the Intensive Care Unit as a summer substitute nursing assistant/care assistant provides an incredibly broad and varied experience. Here you will encounter a variety of medical conditions that build your experience and prepare you in your professional role. You, together with the others in the team, are responsible for providing good care to the critically ill patient.

You will work with:

• Monitoring
• Sampling
• Catheter placement
• Preparation of equipment
• Observations of the patient's condition

We are looking for someone who

• Has a nursing assistant education or equivalent term in medical or nursing education

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience working in an intensive care unit or emergency care unit
