Summer Job as a Service Worker at the Hospital

Do you want to make a difference in healthcare? Are you interested in working at a hospital? As an employee with us, you will support healthcare with service tasks, creating the conditions for healthcare and society to function.

We are looking for you who want to work with us during the summer of 2026 at one of the locations Mölndal, Gothenburg, Kungälv, or Borås!

Job Responsibilities

As a service worker with us, you will meet many people in a job where a lot happens. You will primarily work with cleaning, which involves daily cleaning of patient rooms, waiting rooms, and cleaning of examination rooms as well as other facilities and areas in the hospital. Other common tasks may include light meal handling, patient transport, unpacking and restocking materials, and final cleaning of care places.

Conditions at a hospital can change quickly, and new situations may arise, which means that you will need to use your ability to be flexible. You will work closely with both healthcare staff and colleagues, where together you are an important part of our mission to create conditions for healthcare to function. The tasks are performed close to patients.

We are looking for someone who can work throughout the entire summer period (June, July, and August). To ensure your comfort, you will receive training and onboarding before your summer position begins.

The working hours are scheduled according to a fixed schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Early mornings may occur, starting as early as 6:00 AM.

Qualifications and Skills

To be suitable for the position, you are service-oriented, have a good attitude, and enjoy helping others. You find it easy to collaborate and do not hesitate to assist your colleagues when needed.

You have education at the primary school level and possess basic IT skills; you can use a smartphone, tablet, email, and search for information online without problems. Your knowledge of the Swedish language is good; you can communicate with others and understand both verbal and written instructions. You have the physical ability required to walk and stand throughout the workday, lift heavy objects, or perform repetitive tasks. In the job, you must work in short sleeves and without jewelry, watches, long nails, or nail polish.

For many of our positions, you must be at least 18 years old before the start of employment. For some of our positions, a criminal record check is required.

Recruitment Process

In this process, we will not read any personal letters. Instead, you will describe why you would be a good fit for us and what motivates you to apply for the job. You will do this by answering a number of questions when you register your application.

We review applications continuously and make selections based on the answers to the questions. Candidates who are relevant will be invited to a recruitment meeting via the recruitment system. Recruitment meetings are scheduled for March and April. You will also receive an email about this, so keep an eye out in case it ends up in your spam folder.
