About the Laundry

The Laundry in Alingsås supplies healthcare within the Västra Götaland region with laundry, textiles, and sterile products. Every day, our production chain sorts and handles 37 tons of laundry, which we then deliver back to our customers. The production consists of three departments: pre-treatment, post-treatment, and delivery/clean room. As a summer temporary worker, you will be placed in one unit but will be available and helpful in all departments as needed.

Job Responsibilities

As a laundry assistant, you will work with receiving and sorting incoming textiles, washing and post-treatment of clean textiles, and packing customer orders. To promote a good working environment, you will rotate workstations several times during your shift. You are a crucial factor in ensuring the smooth operation of the machinery by adapting the handling of textiles based on product type and process part. Your contribution to ongoing control and improvement work is a central part of the operations and its development.

About You

We are looking for someone with a high school education or equivalent work experience that the employer deems comparable. You communicate fluently in Swedish and can follow written and verbal work instructions as well as engage in dialogue with customers and colleagues. Since your workday is spent in an industrial environment, it is important that you have the physical ability to walk and stand throughout the workday, lift heavy items, or perform repetitive tasks. The position also requires basic IT skills, meaning you can use a smartphone, email, and search for information online.

Practical Information

The Laundry operates Monday to Friday, and shifts are scheduled in two shifts. Weekend work may occur during holidays and on public holidays. The need for summer temporary workers will primarily be between weeks 25-35.
