The canal walls of Gothenburg are to be renovated, and we are looking for someone to lead this work in the role of program manager. The Canal Wall Program is responsible for the planning and implementation of the renovation of the canal walls between Fattighusån and Stora Hamnkanalen. The goal is to renovate them to a standard that preserves the cultural environment and allows continued traffic on streets and tracks. At the same time, a more attractive urban space will be created along the canal, and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists will be improved. This work also includes the renovation of Tyska bron, Fontänbron, Fredsbron, and Drottningtorgsbron. Additionally, a protective gate will be built as a climate adaptation measure to protect the city center from future flooding at the mouth of Stora Hamnkanalen. The program will consist of several projects and is expected to continue until around 2043.
