Care Manager for Forest Seed Cultivations

About the position

As the Care Manager for forest seed cultivations in southern Sweden, you will be responsible for everything from new establishment and ongoing care to harvesting cones and seeds. You will be responsible for planting, pruning, mowing, and weeding, but also allocate and procure work for our skilled contractors. You will assist in developing care plans and contribute to budget work. You are part of a small team but also work independently within the framework of assigned tasks. Travel by car and overnight stays are common, with two nights a week not being unusual. The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period. Placement at Sveaskog's seed station in Lagan.

About you and your skills

We place great importance on your personality. A key to succeeding in this role lies in your contact with people; colleagues, contractors, landowners, breeders, and partners. Characteristics such as being structured, service-oriented, meticulous, and task-focused are important in this position. As a person, you are good at planning your daily and long-term work, have a green interest, and possess practical skills. We also believe that you have a few years of experience in forestry, professionally or privately, but most importantly, you see your future within it. A driver's license (B) is required.
