About the position

In the Radio Pharmacy operation, we have extensive production and preparation of radioactive labeled sterile medicines for use in clinical patient diagnostics (PET and SPECT) and several research areas. The Radio Pharmacy operation has also been tasked with meeting the hospital's needs for gene therapy medicines, a work that has recently been initiated.

We consist of a mix of competencies such as pharmacists, chemists, and engineers who work together on manufacturing, preparation, quality control, quality assurance (QA), and equipment service. In total, we are about 35 employees. You will be part of the Production section, which is the part of the operation responsible for the daily deliveries of radio pharmaceuticals to our customers in the Stockholm Region.

Your tasks will include working with the preparation of short-lived radio pharmaceuticals, preparation of gene therapy medicines, and manufacturing of cyclotron-based radio pharmaceuticals. All work is carried out in a GMP environment and clean rooms. Manufacturing and preparation aim to meet the clinical needs of Karolinska University Hospital and several other healthcare providers. In the position, you will also work on developing routines and be involved in investigation and change matters. You will also be involved in material handling, method development, and in the operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment.

The demand for our radio pharmaceuticals is high, and the workday starts early in the morning at 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed pharmacist with preparation competence
• Experience in aseptic drug manufacturing and/or preparation
• Experience in GMP-regulated laboratory operations
• Good knowledge of both Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

Meritorious:

• Good experience working with writing routines, deviations, planned changes, and preventive events
• Good knowledge of Radio Pharmacy and its operations
• Experience in clinical trials
