Summer Job at Miva – Make a Difference This Summer!

Water and sewage, along with waste and recycling, are part of our everyday life.

Our main tasks are concrete, but it is also in our industry that major investments are made. This is necessary because an important part of our infrastructure needs to function both today and far into the future.

Do you want an active summer job where you take responsibility, work independently, and contribute to a sustainable society? Then this might be the job for you!

About the Role

We are looking for two summer workers for our pipeline network unit within Water and Sewage Production.

You will work on checking fire hydrants around the municipality. Fire hydrants are used by the emergency services and must function when they are really needed – therefore, your work is truly important.

Job Responsibilities

Your tasks will include:

  • Checking fire hydrants and pumping out water if necessary.
  • Ensuring that signs and markings are clear and visible.
  • Performing simple practical measures, such as shoveling or adjusting markings.
  • Documenting checks and noting if anything needs to be addressed later.
  • Setting up or adjusting fire hydrant flags if needed.

Who Are You?

We believe that you who apply:

  • Are meticulous and take responsibility for ensuring the work is done correctly.
  • Can work independently but also enjoy collaborating.
  • Like practical work and being outdoors.
  • Enjoy solving minor problems that may arise during the workday.
  • Have basic computer skills and can document your work.
  • Have sufficient knowledge of Swedish to communicate and document.

Requirements for the Position

  • Driver's license for manual transmission.
  • Good reading and writing comprehension in Swedish.

What Do We Offer?

  • Introduction and training in the tasks.
  • An independent and varied summer job.
  • The opportunity to contribute to an important societal function.
  • A workday where you plan the work together with your colleague.
  • Good balance between work and leisure.
