About the Workplace

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Care in Halmstad is Halland's care unit for young patients aged 0 to 18 years with mental health issues.

It is a well-functioning unit run by fantastic staff where everyone is involved based on their capabilities to perform a challenging but incredibly rewarding job. We work as a team where every player is equally important and has a vital function. Here we collaborate regardless of profession, help each other, have direct communication, and maintain a positive attitude.

The unit has participated in a national improvement initiative for seven consecutive years, hence the improvement methodology used is a well-established working method. The unit invests in continuous education for all staff, both to ensure good and safe care and to maintain a stimulating work environment.

The vision for department 25 is that all staff should feel involved in changing and improving their work environment and developing the operations. The obstacles that may arise in an operation only reveal that there are opportunities for improvement, something we do together. As a result, we are a vibrant department that constantly strives for a good work environment and to provide the patient and their relatives with the best inpatient care.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone interested in working with children/youth and families from a child psychiatric perspective. Your tasks will include psychiatric nursing, leadership, patient conversations, family conversations, documentation, medication management, etc. You will work in a team with experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with experience working with children and adolescents and their parents. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt to different situations. You have good collaboration skills, are empathetic and service-oriented with a professional demeanor. Your pedagogical insight allows you to explain and guide in a safe and clear manner. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
