You will belong to Markverkstad Norr, which is a unit within the Army Staff (AST) with about 160 employees. We operate in Boden, Luleå, Arvidsjaur, Vidsel, Umeå, and Östersund, and now also in Sollefteå.

We perform maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment, air base equipment, and provide technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material investigation.

Main Responsibilities

As a spare parts person at Markverkstaden, you will work with spare parts preparation and handling of materials in and out of the workshop. You will also be responsible for placing orders/purchases of spare parts for the vehicles used within the Armed Forces, such as patrol vehicles, tracked vehicles, heavy wheeled vehicles, and to some extent other military-specific materials. The work involves ordering spare parts from the central warehouse and civilian suppliers, as well as managing the spare parts inventory. Daily tasks include ordering/releasing spare parts and receiving goods/materials, along with ongoing follow-up and inventory.

REQUIREMENTS Qualifications

  • At least a two- or three-year upper secondary education in vehicle technology or other education/competence acquired through work experience that the employer deems equivalent
  • Experience in logistics or spare parts management
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Good computer skills
  • Driving license B

Meritorious

  • Training from the Armed Forces as a spare parts person or on any vehicle system
  • High computer proficiency and good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Experience working in the SAP system PRIO

Employment type: Permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period
Employment rate: Full-time, daytime
Work location: Sollefteå
Start date: as soon as agreed

The job also requires travel and service, both domestically and internationally. The position is a civilian role.

Work with thermosetting plastics may occur at the workshop and involves health checks.
