GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with parts for jet engines form Engines together, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced parts for engines for aircraft and rockets are developed and manufactured. They also work with engine maintenance.

About the role

We are now looking for a TIG welder for the fabrication value stream at GKN Aerospace in Trollhättan, where they manufacture complex titanium parts and high-volume products in Inconel. The primary task is to finalize weld seams after robotic welding and repairs after NDT, but flexibility for other tasks may also be required. We are looking for someone who values high quality in their work, is driven, and enjoys working in a team to achieve weekly goals. Quality and maintaining pace are of great focus.

Your tasks

• Ensuring the right quality of what is delivered

• Maintaining production pace and delivering according to promises.

• Contributing ideas and participating in continuous improvements.

• Working according to safety regulations.

• Working the shift pattern required by the job (currently 3-shift)

Your profile

• 3-year vocational education with a technical focus or equivalent workshop experience

• Experience in sheet metal processing and deburring

• A few years of experience in TIG welding

• Basic knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• Basic knowledge of English, both spoken and written

To thrive in this role, you need to be service-oriented with a strong focus on quality. You are structured and organized with a desire to work on improvement efforts and have an easy time collaborating and building networks. We consider it an advantage if you have LEAN experience.
