Nursing Assistant for Specialist Psychiatric Care Team (SPOT)
REGION NORRBOTTENNorrbottens län, Piteå
59 days left
to apply for the job
The psychiatric field has begun a transition to Close Care, focusing on moving care closer to the patient and increasingly into the home environment. This is done through the Specialist Psychiatric Care Team (SPOT), which is located in Piteå, Älvsbyn, Arvidsjaur, and Arjeplog. SPOT offers early and preventive interventions in the home environment to reduce the risk of mental illness. The care is tailored to the individual’s mental well-being, function, and needs and is provided in a team-based manner with access to various professionals. Interventions can be conducted in the patient’s own home, at the clinic, or via remote contact.
We are looking for
We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant with psychiatric 2 or caregiver training. You have good knowledge of the most common Office programs and good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. A driving license is also a requirement. It is an advantage if you are a specialist nursing assistant in psychiatry and/or have experience working in psychiatric care and treatment. Knowledge of record-keeping and additional language skills are also a plus.
What you will work with
Tasks included in the SPOT team may vary but can involve, for example, supportive conversations, behavior observations, anxiety management, phone follow-ups, working in resource teams around patients with complex issues, follow-up of patients from inpatient care, support for patients during leave, family conversations, collaboration with care neighbors and municipalities. SPOT operates on behalf of doctors from inpatient or outpatient care.
SPOT is currently divided into three mobile teams with area divisions as follows:
Team 1, Acute team, collaboration with other emergency services (ambulance, police)
Team 2, Piteå – Arvidsjaur – Arjeplog
Team 3, Piteå – Älvsbyn
We are looking for employees for all teams!
The purpose of the SPOT team is to provide more individualized care interventions at home in an outpatient care format instead of within inpatient care. The goal is to shorten the need for inpatient time for patients and avoid admissions to inpatient care where the regular psychiatric outpatient level is not deemed sufficient. Care should be person-centered and adapted to the individual patient’s needs, abilities, and well-being.
The target group for SPOT is patients within the Piteå adult psychiatric catchment area from 18 years of age and older, whose care level is greater than what the psychiatric outpatient care can offer in the regular operations, but who are still not deemed to need 24-hour inpatient care. SPOT will be available every day of the year. SPOT is a project that will be evaluated in the spring of 2025.
What we offer you
- Continuous training initiatives
- Opportunity for supervision
- Opportunity to influence the design of SPOT
- Development and career opportunities where you can help shape the future of health and care
- Health-promoting workplaces with access to wellness activities and wellness benefits
