Do you want to help develop long-term customer relationships in a company with a socially important mission? As a Key Account Manager at Pingday, you will play a central role in driving and developing business with our most important customers – at the intersection of technology, business, and social benefit.
We develop and manage the city's digital infrastructure and are on a clear growth and transformation journey where the sales focus is shifting towards a more structured, value-based, and business-oriented customer approach. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence how Pingday works with key customers, sales processes, and business development, for real. With us, you will work closely with both customers and internal specialists in an organization with short decision-making paths, high competence, and strong commitment.
Your everyday life As a Key Account Manager, you are responsible for driving and developing our business with strategically important customers. You lead sales processes from identified business opportunities to closed deals and work long-term to build strong, trustful, and value-creating customer relationships.
The role is placed within Sales and Marketing, and you report to our Business Manager. The work is cross-functional and takes place in close collaboration with colleagues in infrastructure and operations, innovation, and management to ensure that customer needs are met with the right solutions and deliveries.
Your main tasks are to:
drive and develop business with existing and new key customers
lead complex sales processes with multiple decision-makers and long sales cycles, all the way to decision and closure
work systematically with customer plans, pipelines, forecasts, and follow-up in CRM systems
conduct qualified business and technical dialogues with customers and internal specialists
identify new business opportunities through analysis of customer needs, market, and environment
contribute to the development of Pingday's KAM work, sales processes, and offerings
participate in business decisions, procurements, quotes, and if necessary, develop business cases and go-to-market setups
build networks and represent Pingday in relevant external contexts
The role provides great scope to influence both work methods and business and is important for Pingday's continued growth and position as a long-term and business-oriented partner.
Who are you? We are looking for someone with several years of documented experience in strategic Key Account Management in complex businesses where technical services or solutions are a central part of the offering. You are accustomed to value-based sales and thrive in businesses with long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and close collaboration between business and technology.
You have relevant post-secondary education or equivalent work experience, preferably in economics, marketing, technology, or similar. Experience from telecommunications, city networks, real estate, energy, IoT, or other socially relevant technical operations is an advantage.
To succeed in the role, you have:
good technical understanding and the ability to translate technology into clear customer benefits
experience in developing, communicating, and implementing structured sales processes, pipeline management, and business follow-up
good negotiation skills and understanding of business economics, pricing, and calculations
experience working in CRM systems and very good general digital competence
very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
driver's license B
You are goal- and result-oriented, persistent, and business-driven as a person. With curiosity and a positive attitude, you enjoy engaging with customers. You collaborate easily, are persuasive in your communication, and work in a structured way that builds trust both internally and externally.
As an employee at Pingday, you may be subject to military placement based on the needs of total defense. Since we work with socially important operations, checks may be conducted prior to employment.
