We are looking for a Head Waiter for the Restaurant at Scandic Malmen!

What does the role of head waiter involve?

As someone working in our restaurant, you are the first guest meets upon entering, so it is crucial that you have a warm demeanor and are attentive to details and the guest's needs. You have a burning interest in food and beverages and appreciate order and cleanliness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. All to provide our guests with a fantastic dining experience. Your main tasks will be to greet guests, lead and coach the team on-site, and ensure that all our guests have a fantastic experience. You will also support the hotel team with other tasks as needed.

In the role of head waiter, you are responsible for hospitality for the entire hotel, both towards guests and employees. In addition to being part of the operations, you have an overall view of the guest flow in the restaurant and, together with the team, prioritize tasks to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. You will lead and delegate work and manage staffing during your shift. If needed, you will have the opportunity to train new employees at the hotel and also relieve the Restaurant Manager of certain administrative tasks.

Who are you?

To fit into the role, we believe you have at least two years of experience in similar work and experience in concept-driven operations. You have both the ability and the desire to work with hands-on leadership. You are confident in your leadership and possess both integrity and sales drive. Most importantly, however, are your personal qualities and your attitude. To fit into the role, you need to be a good team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests.

Information about the position:

The position is a permanent full-time employment. We apply a 6-month probationary period. You report to the Restaurant Manager and are responsible on-site in the restaurant in their absence. The position involves evening work. Start date is immediate.
