The area of operation Egen regi is responsible for the city's own adult education, SFI, and vocational college, providing Stockholmers with opportunities to study and participate in societal and working life. We are now looking for a teacher in SFI and Swedish as a second language for Komvux Rinkeby.

Your role

As a teacher, you will teach and support adult students in their learning by using innovative and inclusive pedagogical methods.

The work includes typical teacher tasks such as:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching
• Documentation and grading
• Adapting teaching to students' needs
• Participating in the school's development work
• Collaborating with colleagues and other professionals
• Using digital tools in teaching
• Conducting student-centered teaching
• Documenting and following up on students' progress

The role of SFI/SVA teacher with us involves varied work with opportunities to develop and test new working methods. The school's course offerings include SFI within study path 2 as well as courses at the basic level. In the long term, the offerings may be broadened. This could involve more courses/study paths but also other language development initiatives in the form of commissioned training.

Your skills and experience

Requirements for the position

• Certified teacher and qualified to teach SFI and basic Swedish as a second language as well as one or more of the basic courses, NO, SO, or mathematics.
• Experience in adult education and familiarity with meeting adult students and adapting teaching to their conditions and goals.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of relevant digital tools and confidence in using them. Experience in planning and conducting distance and remote teaching that supports students' learning.

Meritorious

• Several years of experience from SFI and SVA basic is meritorious.
• It is meritorious if you are qualified to teach in NO.
