We are now looking for a care assistant at Ekbacken for a permanent part-time position.

About Ekbacken

Ekbacken is located in the new area of Måmyren, about 3.5 km from central Mora. The residence is beautifully situated on a western slope near the water, just north of Mora hospital, with access to transportation and a shopping center.

The food is prepared in the department kitchens, contributing to a feeling of home-cooked meals. The house is close to forests and green areas, providing opportunities for outdoor activities in the vicinity.

About the residence

Ekbacken is a bright and fresh residence on the ground floor with 32 apartments, divided into four residential units. The residential units are focused on dementia care.

• We are a dementia residence, so it is advantageous if you have experience with dementia and have worked with BPSD and according to the Dementia Academy's concept. • You have a group manager who works closely with you in the operations most of the time. • Becoming a group manager can also be a career opportunity for you as a care assistant. • We continuously strive to create new, exciting activities for our residents. For example, we have introduced VR technology that allows for experiencing various travels, adventures, or games through VR glasses. As a care assistant, you are incredibly important! Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to interact with people.

You are closest to the resident and thus have a key role in the team with the nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation in our journal system Lifecare.

Your experience and knowledge We prefer that you are a trained care assistant and have worked a few years in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also merits. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you share our values and have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.
