Plandent offers a full range of products to Swedish dental care. Every day, we deliver consumables, equipment, service, and digital systems to dental clinics across the country. As a complete supplier, we assist our customers from idea to installation and provide service performed by certified technicians, leasing options, and smart digital services.

Our owner is the Finnish company Planmeca Oy, and we are part of the Plandent Division – the largest dental retail chain in Northern Europe. Planmeca is also the manufacturer of all the heavy equipment (chairs, X-ray machines, and digital systems) we sell. Planmeca is the world's largest privately-owned manufacturer of dental equipment with sales worldwide.

Plandent in Sweden was founded in 1989 and currently employs about 110 people. Our headquarters is located in Stockholm, but we have employees throughout the country.

The operations of Plandent AB and KaVo Dental Nordic AB were merged by the parent company Planmeca in 2024. Thus, Plandent becomes one of the largest dental suppliers in Sweden and the largest dental service organization in the Nordic region.

Job Responsibilities

Our service technicians are Plandent's face to the outside world and key players in the organization. If the clinics' equipment is out of order or not functioning properly, they cannot perform their tasks, and that is where you, as a service technician, come in. As a service technician, you will primarily work with troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on the medical technology products the company sells, which are of world-class quality. You will simply help our customers deliver excellent dental care.

Equally important as the technology is the way we meet our customers – we help our customers focus on what they do best. Our customers are specialists with no margin for error, and therefore they also expect high quality from us.

Experience, Requirements, and Qualifications

Since you will mostly be out with our customers, we place great emphasis on you being service-oriented, communicative, and understanding the importance of being an ambassador for the company when meeting its customers. You need to be comfortable handling customers and any questions they may have. As you will be working a lot under your own responsibility, it is important that you can work independently and drive your tasks forward, but also that you collaborate well with your colleagues. You enjoy having a dynamic job where your workday may need to be reprioritized, and therefore you need to be flexible. Since we are a medical technology company, it is also important that you are very meticulous so that your work is performed correctly.

To succeed in your role as a service technician, you need to have the following qualities:

· Good communication skills. You understand that communication and a good relationship with customers create trust.

· Interest in people, technology, and the willingness to learn new products.

· High school diploma, preferably in technology / Electrical-telecommunications.

· Open, customer-focused, and accommodating to changes, and able to adapt easily to new situations.

· 2-3 years of experience in a similar role as a field service technician is an advantage.

· A valid driver's license (B) is required.

· You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Employment Type: The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period.

Start: Immediately, considering notice period.

Region: EAST/Småland (Kronoberg, Blekinge, Kalmar, Jönköping, Östergötland counties), you will work from home, and work in adjacent counties may occur as needed.

Salary: By agreement.

Collective Agreement: Unionen.
