JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for Summer Substitutes for our operations within Elderly Care, who will substitute during the vacation periods in the summer of 2025.

At the Social Administration, we work with people; we are responsible for the care of the elderly and disabled. Those of us who work here help each other in our common goal to provide the best possible service and care to the residents of Vimmerby municipality. A summer job with us means that you gain valuable work experience and the opportunity to create new contacts. We have fair employment conditions, and as a new summer substitute, you will undergo an introductory training before the summer.

Job Description

The job responsibilities involve facilitating the daily life of individuals who, due to age or illness/disability, need support to manage their everyday lives. The main principle is to provide support and assistance based on the user's approved interventions, self-determination, and participation. The work consists of support and help with personal care and service interventions. Personal care may include shower assistance, morning, lunch, and evening help. Service interventions may include cleaning, for example. The job also includes documentation in our documentation system, Lifecare, and performing health and medical tasks as delegated by the responsible nurse.

The working hours are distributed across day/evening/weekend and night shifts.

Home Care

Home care is a collective term for various forms of care, support, service, and security that we provide in the user's home. Home care performs the interventions that social workers have assessed that the user needs. What should be performed for the user during each visit is outlined in a schedule on your work phone. Six groups work in Vimmerby, and four groups work in the outskirts.

Care and Nursing Home

We assist users with support and help with personal care, meal assistance, and service interventions. There is a large home in Vimmerby, one in Storebro, and one in Södra Vi. The departments are divided according to different physical disabilities, dementia diagnoses, short-term units, and daily activities.

Night Shifts in Home Care and Care and Nursing Home

Night shifts involve work either within a night patrol that travels around the municipality or within a care and nursing home that meets the users' needs at night.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old
• Has education in Nursing Program, Leisure Leader Training, Child and Leisure Program, Treatment Pedagogue Training, or equivalent education.
• Experience in the field is an advantage.
• A valid Class B driver's license is required for home care and night shifts. A Class B driver's license is also desirable for care and nursing homes.

In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and interest in the position. As a person, you are responsible and flexible, you have a service-oriented approach and a positive attitude with a good and respectful demeanor. It is important that you can work independently while also having good collaboration skills. The work also requires documentation, so you must be computer literate and proficient in the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. If you speak another language, it is a plus.

The position is subject to ID verification.

You as an applicant must present a valid passport, national ID card, or personal certificate before employment occurs.

If you are hired as an hourly employee, you will undergo an online introduction when you are employed. You will also need to sign a confidentiality agreement.
