We are now looking for you who are interested in doing your residency in general medicine at a health center where you will encounter expected patient meetings, as well as educational and developing meetings in rural medicine.

We want better care and high availability for our 7000 registered patients. To achieve this, we work together to develop our methods, find new solutions, structure our work, and focus on quality. We like to think outside the box and to be close to our patients even if the distances are great. Therefore, we work with digital solutions, and in addition to consultations, we have chat and video contact with our patients. Our main clinic is in Vittangi, with branches in Kiruna, Svappavaara, and Karesuando. Our branch in Kiruna is our largest workplace where we have a doctor's office, diabetes clinic, rehabilitation department with physiotherapists, occupational therapist, psychologist, CBT therapist, and rehabilitation coordinator, as well as maternal and child health care. Vittangi and Karesuando focus on rural medicine where patients come in acutely, and you may handle everything from heart attacks to burns, etc.

You have the ICE hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Esrange Space Center, proximity to Abisko National Park, Trollsjön, Björkliden, and Riksgränsen for fantastic skiing in winter and hiking in summer, as well as Nikkaluokta and Kebnekaise. Midnight sun in summer and Northern Lights in winter.

We are now looking to hire one to two residents for our team. In the long run, there may be an opportunity to become a responsible partner according to Praktikertjänst's concept, if there is interest.

Job Responsibilities

You are a licensed physician. With us, this means that you will have a mix of assignments. You will have scheduled consultations with booked patients but also acute patients as well as chat and digital visits. We have maternal and child health care, special accommodations, and home care. The assignment will be designed as much as possible according to your interests and experiences. We value collaboration between professions and expect you to be a part of that work.

Qualifications

Since we work in rural areas, a driver's license is good to have. You are ready for a residency position, so we prefer that you have completed your basic training.
