Care Assistant with Extended Responsibility for Day Activity Focused on Dementia

About the Operation

The day activity located in Gribbylund in Täby is aimed at people who live in ordinary housing. Our mission is to create a meaningful, safe, and stimulating everyday life for our guests. At the same time, we provide support and relief to relatives. The work is characterized by care, respect, and participation. We are star-certified by the Dementia Center.

Your tasks will be in collaboration with the unit manager:

• To provide person-centered care and support to people with dementia.
• To plan and carry out activities that promote health, joy, and community.
• To be responsible for documentation and follow-up as well as reporting in the operational system.
• To be a contact person and coordinate efforts with relatives and colleagues.
• To lead the development of routines, working methods, and quality in the operation.

We are looking for someone who:

We are looking for an engaged, social, and empathetic care assistant who has experience working with people with dementia. You have a good understanding of dementia diseases and the importance of communication. As a person, you are responsible, attentive, and confident in your professional role.

· Are a licensed care assistant

· Education in dementia care, e.g., Dementia ABC or similar

· Experience in planning, documentation, and coordinating tasks

· Good collaboration skills and are proactive with a genuine commitment to elderly care

· Have good communication skills in speech and writing

Working hours: The day activity is open from 8 AM to 4 PM every day of the week, which means working every 4th weekend.

The position is 90%.
