Security Drivers for the Armed Forces Headquarters

The Headquarters Transport Section is now seeking two security drivers who want to be an important part of the Armed Forces' personnel transport.

The Transport Section is part of the Headquarters Document Management Department.

About the Position

We are looking for two experienced and responsible security drivers for the transport of individuals with high demands on safety, comfort, and discretion. You will be part of the security team and responsible for ensuring that transport is conducted safely, discreetly, and in accordance with established procedures.

The work involves planning, execution, and follow-up of transports where high demands are placed on safety, flexibility, and good judgment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Safe and discreet transport of individuals in various environments
  • Preparation and planning of routes considering risk and traffic conditions
  • Manage vehicles in a responsible and proactive manner, including daily inspections
  • Conduct maintenance of vehicles and associated equipment
  • Collaborate with other security personnel and follow established procedures
  • Transport distances may vary, requiring readiness for both short and long drives
  • Some drives may require being away for several days

Requirements

  • Category B driver's license
  • Post-secondary education
  • Previous experience in the driving profession
  • Very good local knowledge of central Stockholm
  • Excellent driving skills, preferably with experience in advanced driving
  • Able to drive at all times of the day, in daylight and darkness
  • Good physical condition and stress tolerance
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English
  • High integrity and discretion

Meritorious

  • Documented experience in secure transport, personal protection, or similar assignments
  • Completed security driver training or other relevant training in personal protection
  • Experience from work in police, military, or other security operations
  • First aid training
  • Knowledge of security procedures and threat assessments
  • Training in personal protection, defensive driving, or similar
  • Category C and/or D driver's license
  • Completed military service

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is calm and decisive even under pressure. You possess very good judgment and decision-making ability and are flexible, calm, and adaptable to changing circumstances. You have a high security awareness and integrity, and the ability to create a sense of security for those you transport with a strong service mindset.

You enjoy being part of a team and working together with others but are also self-motivated and take personal responsibility for the execution of tasks. You actively contribute to good collaboration and a positive atmosphere in the workplace. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

A driving test with a passing result and a successful security clearance are required before potential employment.

Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
Employment type: Permanent with an initial probationary period of 6 months.
Working hours: Two-week rolling schedule. Week 1: 06:30 – 14:30 / Week 2: 14:00 – 22:00.
Work location: Stockholm.

Information about the recruiting unit:

At the Headquarters, there is the Supreme Commander and the Director General. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. Since January 1, 2023, the Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, operations management, military intelligence and security service, as well as the Headquarters Staff Department and independent supervisory units.

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. A security clearance with a background check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment also includes an obligation to be assigned to war. The implications of this vary depending on the type of position.
