About the Workplace

Do you want to help staff our important operations in healthcare and social services? We are now looking for summer substitutes for the summer of 2026. We are looking for someone with the right attitude and approach. Previous experience is preferred but not required.

As a substitute, you will help ensure that our elderly and individuals in need of care receive support and assistance, and that our regular staff get the much-needed rest. You can work in home care, nursing homes, group homes, personal assistance, LSS, and social psychiatry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

Some examples of tasks that may be included in the job:

• Create security and support for independent living
• Cleaning, laundry, and some cooking
• Assist with lifting and transfers
• Care tasks such as personal care and hygiene, for example, helping with toilet visits or taking a shower
• Document in journal systems, etc.
• Medication delegation

Many of our operations are open around the clock, so working hours vary between day, evening, and night shifts during weekdays and weekends. The length of shifts also varies.

If you are offered a position with us, we will support you in your work; we provide the lifting technique training and introduction you need to feel secure with us and your tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

You enjoy providing good service, building strong relationships, and want to enhance the quality of life for our clients. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about caring for others and can recognize individual needs. You have a strong work ethic and take your job seriously. You are committed to helping people and are prepared to be flexible and take significant personal responsibility. For you, it is of course essential to collaborate and work together with your colleagues.

Experience in healthcare and social services is an advantage.

It is advantageous if you have training in healthcare or other education in social work.

A driver's license (B) is required for certain positions in home care and LSS.

We prefer that you are available to work the entire summer period from June to August (week 25 to week 32).

You need to be able to speak, write, and understand Swedish well, as documentation and communication with those you assist are important parts of the job.

You must be at least 18 years old.

Work Permit

To work within the operations of Köping Municipality, you must have the right to work in Sweden, either through Swedish citizenship or citizenship in an EU/EES country or Switzerland. Alternatively, you must have a valid residence permit and/or work permit. If you are selected for an interview, we will ask you about your right to work in Sweden.
