The Role of the Driver

The job involves driving a courier vehicle between the region's operations within Jönköping County. You will be offered a temporary job with a high level of service in a good working environment.

Your tasks as a driver for our courier vehicles will involve a lot of contact with people as you transport goods and mail to and from hospitals, health centers, dental clinics, other operations, and administrative functions. You should be able to operate a vehicle according to fixed schedules and follow the rules for freight transport on the road, including driving and rest times. The work is primarily carried out within Jönköping County, but service across county borders may also occur. The positions are for fixed-term employment on a full-time basis.

Further hourly employment may be possible after agreement.

Your Future Workplace

Regional Transport is part of a group of 6 other operations in operational support and services that are region-wide. Regional Transport has about 15 employees who carry out various transport assignments for operations linked to Region Jönköping County, as well as for some private care providers. The drivers of Regional Transport carry out daily transports of laboratory samples, medications, mail, packages, medical gases, and more between the region's hospitals, health centers, and dental clinics. A daily route also goes to the University Hospital in Linköping.

We at Regional Transport are now looking for summer substitutes who can serve as drivers from June 15, 2025, to August 15, 2026. Different lengths and periods may be applicable during this time. The work is performed according to a schedule in a passenger car registered courier vehicle with a total weight of under 3.5 tons (driving license category B).

Your Profile

To thrive with us, you should be a cheerful, positive, self-driven, flexible person with good collaboration skills and proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We also expect you to be structured, service-oriented, and able to listen and communicate with others. You must have at least a driving license category B. We place great importance on personal suitability.
