Operations Manager, Katrineholm

Ohlssons was founded in 1998 in Landskrona and currently has about 850 employees, operating in around 50 municipalities across Sweden with a turnover of over 1.5 billion. The company assists municipalities and businesses with services in waste management, sludge and water supply, recycling, transport, and contracting. The group also includes Puls – Planned Maintenance Service AB, Soreto Services AB, Exellent Syd AB, ÖMAB, and Tintorella Fastigheter AB.

About the Position

Ohlssons is in a strong growth phase in the Mälardalen region and is now looking for an Operations Manager who wants to help build the next step in our business. On behalf of Sörmland Vatten, we are establishing a new unit in Katrineholm and are looking for someone who wants to take an active role in building the business from the ground up. Once the business is established, you will have overall responsibility for daily operations.

In the role of Operations Manager, you will have a central position with responsibility for waste operations and property-related collection (FNI) for the municipalities of Katrineholm, Flen, and Vingåker. You will lead and develop the staff, be responsible for operational planning and resource management, and maintain close communication with customers and clients.

The role combines operational responsibility with a strategic overall perspective. You will work both in and with the business and are expected to act flexibly and solution-oriented in both everyday issues and long-term development.

Your main responsibilities:

• Personnel responsibility, including recruitment, follow-up, and work environment
• Budget and financial follow-up
• Operational planning and optimization of resources
• Quality control and follow-up of vehicles
• Active work with customer relations
• Ensure compliance with internal routines and guidelines

The position is based in Katrineholm.

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed high school education combined with several years of relevant work experience, preferably in operations management, transport, or waste management. You have experience leading staff and following up on results. You are comfortable working with planning, traffic management, or other coordinating functions where logistics and real-time solutions are key. You have good administrative skills and are accustomed to working in digital systems. A B driver's license is required. If you have a C driver's license, it is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have experience with the transport management system EDP.
