Job Responsibilities:

You will be part of a shift team of three people who, in addition to machine operation, perform various tasks such as analyzing and sorting scrap. The work is on a 5-shift schedule, including nights, and involves operating terminal tractors, forklifts, and possibly dumpers.

The main task is to transport scrap in a scrap trough with a Kalmar terminal tractor to and from the steel mill, approximately 1.3 km one way. The scrap trough is delivered to the steel mill at SSAB, and the tractor then takes an empty trough back to Harsco.

The shift team is responsible for loading scrap according to recipes into the scrap trough, approximately 40-50 tons. The total weight transported is up to 100 tons including trough + scrap.

Your Profile:

You have experience in machine operation and preferably in heavy transport/construction machinery. Experience with terminal tractors is highly desirable.

As a person, you are a driven team player who is engaged and responsible. It is important that you have a strong safety mindset and enjoy working at a fast pace. You have a great interest in machinery, are technically inclined, and enjoy solving problems that arise in daily work. Being physically involved when necessary is not a problem for you.

  • Ability to work shifts

Desirable:
