Do you enjoy swimming and meeting people? Are you comfortable teaching and leading group training, both on land and in water? We are now looking for a lifeguard for the Bad & Gym facility in Myresjö. Here you will meet everyone from children who are just getting acquainted with water to 90-year-olds who take their daily exercise rounds.

In Vetlanda municipality, we have two swimming and bathing facilities. In both facilities, we have a café and well-equipped gyms with fresh machines. Myresjö swimming hall offers a 25-meter pool, a teaching pool, and a splash pool for our youngest visitors. In Vetlanda bathhouse, there is a 16-meter pool, a rehabilitation pool with a height-adjustable bottom, and a relaxation area with a hot tub and several different types of saunas. In the facilities, we conduct swimming schools for preschool, school, and the general public, as well as training both individually and in groups.

As a lifeguard with us, you will be involved in the entire operation.

Your tasks include:

• swimming instruction
• supervision of swimming activities
• leading group training sessions
• staffing the reception with cash register duties
• cleaning and maintenance

Swimming lessons are an important part of the job. With us, you will work with school swimming instruction as well as private swimming lessons for various ages. We want you to be service-oriented, driven, and enjoy motivating others.

Here you will get a holistic perspective and work with all parts of our operation. On top of that, you will have a great group of colleagues. We are a total of 13 colleagues working together at the facilities.

The position is a full-time temporary contract, from March 2026 until May 7, 2027, or by agreement.

Qualifications

• You have a lifeguard education or another education deemed equivalent.
• You need to be able to pass the Swedish Lifesaving Society's (SLS) gold buoy badge.
• Training and licenses in swimming school activities, water, and land training are advantageous.
• Experience in pedagogy and swimming hall operations is a plus.
