The city of Västerås has removed the personal letter from the application process. We do this to achieve a better and fairer recruitment process. When you submit your application, you will be asked to answer a number of questions that will become an important part of our selection work.

Are you already a certified playground inspector, or do you want to take the chance to become one? As an inspector in play and outdoor environments, you can make a difference for Västerås' small and large residents through safe and sustainable playgrounds and outdoor areas!

Your tasks

You document, develop action plans, and systematically follow up on your work. You also assist field teams with knowledge and suggestions for execution as needed. It also includes preparing cost estimates and compiling offers. The work involves continuously keeping yourself updated on applicable regulations as these change over time.

We have a close collaboration in the unit and help each other when needed, and the position may involve on-call duty during the winter when the unit has the need, which is approximately one week a month over a 6-month period.

You are part of the Production business area, which is Västerås city's operational activities within operations and maintenance, construction, and technical systems. Together, we are part of the Technical and Property Management.

You have an easy time seeing what needs to be done on-site and make your own decisions within the framework of your role.
