The Smedjebacken Health Center is a pleasant and welcoming healthcare facility. We have approximately 7100 registered residents. The staffing consists of many different professional categories with broad expertise, and collaboration and utilization of each other's different skills are an important part of daily work.

We conduct medical consultations, healthcare advice, nurse and district nurse consultations. We have specialist nurses with their own clinics, child health care, diabetes, blood pressure, asthma/COPD, memory clinic, and occupational therapist, as well as midwifery services. We also have physiotherapists with their own clinic, as well as counseling and addiction services, and care coordinators for mental health. Our working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.

Temporary position as nursing assistant, Smedjebacken Health Center

We are looking for a nursing assistant (temporary position) for the health center in Smedjebacken.

The daily work includes, among other things, sampling in our lab, assisting in medical/nurse consultations, ordering and managing supplies. A crucial part of the job is collaboration with other units within both the region and the municipality.

Requirements

• Trained nursing assistant who has completed the Health and Care program or the vocational package Health and Care in adult education.
• Diploma from the Health and Care College

Meritorious:

• Specialization in Emergency Care and Medicine 2 (if you have completed the previous Health and Care program)
• Experience from work in primary care
• Experience with the Cosmic journal system

Personal qualities:

As a person, you are meticulous and responsible. You have good initiative and planning skills. You are resilient under stress. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability and ability to collaborate, where a good approach with patients and colleagues is included.

Information about the job title

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services.

You can apply for the certificate starting July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services, but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplace/employer after July 1. After that, you need a certificate of protected job title to use the title nursing assistant.
