Sydöstran is now strengthening its editorial team and is looking for a political editorial writer who wants to drive opinion journalism with strength, curiosity, and social engagement.

Sydöstran is one of the few newspapers in Sweden with a social democratic editorial page. Here, you have the opportunity to influence the conversation, analyze our time, and contribute to a better society.

About the assignment:

You will be part of a small but strong team working closely with the editorial staff.
You will write your own texts, initiate debates, and place local issues in a larger political context.
During the election year, you will play a central role in the development of the editorial page and opinion formation.
You will closely follow local politics in Blekinge, but also have a good understanding of national and international developments.

We are looking for someone who:

Shares the values of the labor movement and can express them in a modern context.
Is a confident stylist and experienced in formulating opinion-forming texts.
Has experience in journalistic work or public debate.
Enjoys taking part in the public conversation, especially in Blekinge.

Knowledge of and connection to Blekinge is an advantage.
We would like you to live, or want to settle, in the region.

Employment:

Employment type: Fixed-term with the possibility of extension.
Scope: Full-time.
Start date: By agreement.
Location: Karlskrona, Blekinge.
