Are you ready for the next step in your career? Join us as an Operator at the Valmet Tissue Technology Center, where you will work hands-on with the latest tissue making technology in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will be part of a strong, supportive team that operates one of the world’s most advanced pilot machines, helping customers test new technologies and develop future ready products. If you enjoy working both in the control room and directly on the machinery, solving challenges together, and continuously learning, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact.
Your responsibilities
- You operate the pilot machine both from the control room and on the machine, ensuring smooth and safe production runs.
- You participate in machine configuration changes, rebuilds, and clothing replacements to meet testing needs.
- You troubleshoot issues on the pilot line and collaborate with colleagues to secure high-quality test runs.
- You support both internal development projects and customer trials that explore new tissue technologies.
- You contribute to maintaining a well-functioning, flexible, and reliable pilot environment.
Expectations for you
- You have solid experience in tissue production and operating tissue making machinery.
- You communicate confidently in both Swedish and English.
- You bring a flexible, curious, and proactive mindset to your daily work.
- You thrive in hands-on environments where collaboration and problem-solving are essential.
- Experience from test or pilot operations is a strong advantage.
To succeed in this role
You need to bring a strong understanding of tissue making processes and the ability to operate and support complex machinery. You enjoy combining technical skills with teamwork, and you are comfortable adapting to changing setups, test conditions, and customer needs. Your curiosity, reliability, and willingness to learn will help you thrive in a setting where innovation and operational excellence go hand in hand.
We offer
You will join a highly skilled Pilot Operations team working with cutting-edge tissue making technology. Together, we support both internal R&D and global customer trials, creating a unique environment where innovation becomes reality. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, build deep technical knowledge, and contribute directly to validating new ideas, products, and machine configurations.
Valmet offers an inspiring and development-oriented work environment where collaboration and innovation are valued.
