The position is located in the Community Planning Department, which works with municipality-wide issues such as strategic and physical planning, regulatory activities in environmental and construction matters, and regional development. Here, there is also the overall responsibility for the municipality's technical supply in waste and sanitation, water and sewage, streets, roads, and parks. The department works on behalf of the municipal executive board and the community planning committee.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a park worker, you will manage and maintain outdoor environments in Gnesta Municipality. The work includes lawn mowing, weed control, clearing of underbrush, sanitation, and maintenance of the municipality's playgrounds, bathing areas, and sports fields. The position also includes managing irrigation and care of the municipality's plants. The foundation of the work is to create beautiful environments for people to enjoy.

You will be part of a team with a shared responsibility to plan and execute the described tasks, but also perform other tasks that exist in the Street Unit. Winter preparedness is included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who radiates positivity and initiative, who is at least 18 years old and is prepared to work outdoors, regardless of the weather. It is essential that you are responsible and flexible in your work, can work independently to solve tasks, and it is equally important that you can communicate, listen, and collaborate well in a team. It is crucial that you get things done, are structured, and enjoy having many tasks at hand. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

• Experience in the above work or experience from jobs that the employer assesses as equivalent is a requirement.
• A manual B driver's license is a requirement.
• Experience in driving a tractor is a requirement.

A BE driver's license is highly meritorious.

Meritorious qualifications also include gardening education or experience in gardening, driving smaller machines, training for work from lifts and work platforms, experience in forestry, and chainsaw and brush cutter licenses. Building technical competence is also a plus.
