We are looking for someone who wants to take care of our churches and buildings. You have a good ability to meet people in everyday life and at services, in joy as well as in sorrow. You can collaborate with the congregation's employees and volunteers. At the same time, you are comfortable working independently. You have the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, for example in meetings with contractors. You have knowledge and experience in property maintenance and light handyman work, and you also know when you need to seek help from other craftsmen. You have experience and interest in being part of the team that leads and participates in the congregation's services, including Sunday services as well as funerals, baptisms, and weddings. You can manage sound and lighting during services. You are service-oriented, flexible, meticulous, and responsible. You have a sense of order and decor.

Burlöv Parish encompasses the entire Burlöv municipality, with the two urban areas: Arlöv and Åkarp. The municipality is growing and is characterized by good communication, entrepreneurship, and multiculturalism.

The parish has two churches with surrounding cemeteries. In Arlöv, there is a parish hall with an office for the cemetery and congregation, as well as part of our preschool in what was previously the rectory. In Åkarp, there is a parish house with the other part of the preschool. The parish has a total of 42 employees.

Job Responsibilities:

- Supervision and service in churches and other properties in the parish.

- Serving as a church caretaker during services, baptisms, weddings (approximately every third weekend)

and funerals (one day/week).

- Simple handyman and service tasks.

- Rearranging furniture and other tasks that require physical work.

- Some cleaning/maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

- At least a high school education, preferably training in crafts/property service.

- A valid driver's license (B) is required.

- Experience as a church caretaker is an advantage.

- You share the values of the Church of Sweden and are a member of the Church of Sweden.

- We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Extent: 100%

Start date: May 15 or by agreement. Six months of probationary employment.
