JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Welfare Gävle operates both in-house and through external providers. As a Contract Coordinator, you will be a central contact point and responsible for coordinating questions and matters between external providers and Welfare Gävle.
You will have a varied role with many points of contact, where you contribute to development, quality, and effective agreements that make a difference for Gävle's residents. The role involves influencing, driving improvements, and supporting change initiatives while developing your skills in procurement and contract management.
Your tasks include:
- Coordinating and managing inquiries from external providers
- Ensuring internal collaboration towards external providers
- Evaluating applications according to the Freedom of Choice Act (LOV)
- Managing contracts and participating in procurements
- Ongoing administration and record-keeping
- Introduction and training of new external providers
- Participating in follow-ups of external providers and internal/external meetings
- Administering digital systems and tools
QUALIFICATIONS
In the role of Contract Coordinator, you will work in a varied position with many points of contact, both internally and externally. You can influence how our agreements and services develop over time. With us, you will have the opportunity to use and develop your skills in procurement, contract management, and legislation while driving improvements and supporting change initiatives.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A high school diploma from the social sciences, natural sciences, or economics program, or a post-secondary/university education in, for example, social work or behavioral science, or another education that the employer deems relevant for the position
- Experience in record-keeping and administrative processing
- Education and/or several years of experience working with legislation related to: The Public Procurement Act (LOU) and/or the Freedom of Choice Act (LOV)
It is an advantage if you have experience with any procurement system, preferably from Kommers. Additionally, if you have good computer skills and can use SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook, it is desirable. Experience in healthcare and social services, such as home care, is also an advantage.

- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to see opportunities in changes
- Have a coaching and attentive approach that creates trust and supports the development of others
