About the Role

Since the position is primarily a part-time job intended for summer 2026 (with the possibility of continued employment after summer), we wish that you are available for work between weeks 24-33.

The guard training will be offered from March to May. The training lasts 9 days and will primarily take place in Lund or Malmö. The first week Monday to Friday 08-17, the second week Monday to Thursday 08-17. Securitas will cover training, food, and hotel costs.

Working as a guard is perfect for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard at our office in Älmhult, you will become part of a close-knit team. The length of shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. Working every other weekend is common.

As a stationary guard, your primary task is to provide security to one of our clients by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. You often work at the entrance to a larger company, checking those who enter and exit, but you may also perform patrols and monitor cameras. The tasks vary from client to client. You work independently and under your own responsibility, often both day and night.

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license
• At least 18 years old

Preferred if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civilian or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work tempo. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you, as a candidate, are an independent person who trusts your own abilities, quickly understands problems, and solves them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a comprehensive assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
