About the position
Within the Cancer Theme, patients with malignant tumors and benign conditions within urology, endocrinology, hematology, and coagulation are investigated, treated, and cared for. We also conduct clinical studies in various phases. Read more about the Cancer Theme and our mission here.
The Medical Unit Hematology conducts inpatient and outpatient care both in Huddinge and Solna, where we are highly specialized in acute leukemias and myeloma. With us, patients are treated at various stages of their illness, from newly diagnosed with aggressive hematological cancer requiring rapid treatment initiation to more slowly growing diseases. In the role of a nurse, you will work with advanced cancer and infection treatments, where we are leaders in the introduction of new treatment regimens and provide extensive nursing care. The role involves close collaboration with your colleagues within the organization.
Examples of work tasks:
- patient-centered care in the form of assessment, planning, implementation, and follow-up of patients
- medical technical tasks such as handling venous access and safe use of equipment
- medication management including chemotherapy and transfusions.
The position is located in Huddinge.
We are looking for someone who
- has an interest in hematology and cancer care, engages in the unit's development, and takes the initiative for activities that lead to results
- takes responsibility for your tasks and structures your approach while driving processes forward
- has an empathetic attitude towards your colleagues and patients, showing understanding for someone else's situation without taking over their feelings
- has good collaboration skills, enjoys and works well with others, and listens and communicates effectively.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed nurse
- A couple of years of experience working as a nurse
Meritorious:
- Specialist nurse in oncology.
