The vaccination and testing operation has a comprehensive regional mission that handles all vaccinations within the region, such as larger campaigns for influenza, COVID-19, medical vaccinations, and travel-related vaccinations. In addition to the vaccination mission, we work regionally with asylum health and conduct health examinations for newly arrived adults and children. We also support the region by following up and managing any follow-up tests and vaccinations where staff and students within the region and municipality have experienced a needle or sharp injury. Besides regular assignments, we may receive shorter or longer tasks from both primary care and somatic care, which means that the operation and its employees need to be flexible and take on challenges with short lead times and, in some cases, rapid decisions.

We are an operation with a stable workforce distributed across the entire region, and during the larger vaccination campaigns, we have a significant number of temporary staff.

We are now strengthening our team as one of our employees will go on a long leave. The position is a full-time temporary position with a start date to be agreed upon until 2027-06-30, with a possible extension.

As an assistant nurse in the vaccination and testing operation, you have significant personal responsibility, and a high degree of flexibility is required to thrive in your work. Your work will include:

• Testing adults and children
• Ordering supplies and consumables
• Booking phone
• Hosting during vaccinations
• Collaborating with nearby health centers
• Participating in networks regarding hygiene and textiles
• Planned and sometimes unplanned travel across the region

Introduction will be based on experience and needs. We apply flexible working hours and typically work Monday to Friday during daytime hours.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a complete assistant nurse education
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience in performing venous blood sampling for both adults and children
• Have work experience in primary care
• Have a B driver's license
