ABOUT THE POSITION

For the fourth time in a row, it is now time to recruit new stars for our Academy ILS program. An ILS engineer can be described as a technical superhero who works to ensure that systems and products operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will be a key player in optimizing the operation and maintenance of advanced systems in a future-proof industry where the demand for your skills is only increasing.

The training has been developed in collaboration with some of the industry's leading companies and combines theory with practical elements that prepare you for the workforce. You are promised 12 exciting and intensive weeks of training in our Academy program with a permanent position after graduation with assignments at one of our exciting partner companies.

This year's ILS program collaborates with a marine company in Gothenburg. It is a large, global technology company specializing in developing complex and heavy systems for cargo and access solutions. The company operates in an industry where projects are unique and place high demands on strength and precision in challenging environments. This means that almost all equipment must be tailored to the customer's specific needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job tasks

ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) is used to optimize maintenance and operation of advanced systems. Imagine you are buying a car that both works well from the start and is cost-effective to maintain in the long run. Are spare parts available in ten years? Is it easy to replace a broken headlight? An ILS engineer ensures that such questions are considered – for complex systems within defense, aviation, space, maritime, and automotive industries.

  • Requirements management, logistics planning, and maintenance strategies within defense, industry, and infrastructure
  • Develop specifications, conduct analyses, and provide input to design work, formulate technical requirements, and review subcontractors' work
  • Quality control and technical support, both internally and to customers

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Are over 18 years old
  • Have a high school education in technology or previous work experience in a role related to maintenance, assembly, or logistics
  • Have excellent documentation skills as this will occur daily in planning work, report writing, or installation instructions
  • Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as lessons and upcoming work may occur in both languages
  • Have matched in the two initial tests focusing on abilities
  • Have a genuine interest in technology, which is reflected in previous work experience or studies
  • Express strong motivation for the program
  • Have Swedish citizenship as the position is security classified

Integrated logistics support is a process primarily used in the defense sector and means that this assignment is security classified. This implies that a security clearance will be conducted (including background checks) in connection with employment (in accordance with Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Security Protection Act). Assignments where the client has requirements for security classification may, if applicable, entail requirements for Swedish citizenship.

About the training

The methodology during the training is based on Accelerated Learning, a fast track for those seeking a new career and motivated by an exciting challenge. The pedagogy focuses on practical learning at a fast pace. The theory sessions are short, the pace is high, and the focus is on practical exercises and continuous feedback dialogue.

Important dates

  • Digital welcome meeting before training: May 11
  • Pre-study period: May 11 - June 5
  • Training start: June 8 - September 11
  • Self-study: Week 30-31
  • Exam day: September 11
  • Scope: Full-time, scheduled classes weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00
  • Work location after training: Gothenburg

During the training, there will be a mandatory on-site occasion. Regardless of residence or work location, you are welcome to our Campus in Life City, Hagastaden, Stockholm on the last day in connection with the exam, September 11.
