Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) - Security Coordinator
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. With us at SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
SiS youth home Brättegården is located just outside Vänersborg. We receive non-compulsory school-age girls with psychosocial issues, mental health problems, as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse.
Job Description
As a security coordinator, you play an important role in the institution's systematic security work, where you coordinate, plan, implement, and follow up on security efforts at the institution. Your tasks include:
- working operationally with security-related issues, for example by conducting risk and security assessments
- being responsible for coordinating the implementation and development of local routines, instructions, and action plans within the security area
- ensuring quality and coordinating incidents reported to the incident reporting system (ISAP) and assisting the institution's management with the current situation
- coordinating the drug prevention work at the institution
- coordinating the institution's information security work
- being the contact person for intelligence information from the authority's national security department and with other authorities
- participating in introductions, training, and exercises within the security area
As an employee with us, you will have plenty of good colleagues, but in the role of security coordinator, you are alone at the institution. This requires that you are secure in your role and can independently drive the local security work. You will have support and close cooperation with the security department at our headquarters in Stockholm and with other security coordinators in the authority.
With systematic approaches, pedagogy, and good collaboration skills, your main task will be to increase security awareness among all employees. The goal is to ensure safe youth and staff in secure premises.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an education in the security field.
You should have experience working in security work and handling incidents and serious events. We prefer that you have practical experience in areas such as exercises, training, and risk and security assessments.
To thrive in the role, you need to enjoy developing and implementing routines and working methods.
You should have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and also have good computer skills.
It is advantageous to have experience working with compulsory care or deprivation of liberty.
As a person, you are responsible, creative, positive, and have a strong desire and ability to develop yourself and others. You are a structured problem solver who enjoys working both independently and in a group. You take great responsibility for your work and have good collaborative skills. Furthermore, you are analytical and pedagogical. We place high demands on your security and confidentiality awareness.
At SiS, we care about good employee relations. This means that you, as an employee, take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good cooperation. Read more about our employee relations.
