About the Job

In the role of economy assistant, you are a key person who makes the preschool's everyday life work by creating a clean, welcoming, and nutritious environment for both children and staff.

Your workday is largely characterized by the responsibility you have for the meals. This means that you receive the prepared food delivered to the preschool, check that everything is correct, and prepare the serving in an inviting way. In addition to setting the table, simpler cooking is also part of your daily routines, where you creatively and thoughtfully prepare accompaniments such as colorful salads, snacks, and sandwiches. You are responsible for the entire flow in the kitchen – from setting the food to the table to ensuring that dishes and post-work are handled according to current food hygiene regulations.

In addition to kitchen work, you have an important task related to the preschool's cleaning. You ensure that learning environments and common areas are clean and safe for children to be in. By combining kitchen work with regular cleaning, you directly contribute to a good working environment and reduced infection spread in the operation.

There may be work at other preschools in the municipality.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, good knowledge of food hygiene, self-control, and experience in handling food safely, including understanding allergies and special diets, is required.

The role requires that you have experience in cleaning and maintenance with knowledge of how to create a safe, clean, and infection-free environment through effective working methods.

As a person, you are structured and have a good ability to plan your time so that both meals and cleaning run smoothly. You are self-sufficient, see what needs to be done, and take great personal responsibility for your tasks. Since you work in a preschool environment, you are service-oriented, responsible, and enjoy being a positive adult role model in the children's daily lives.

The position requires that you have a B driver's license, good knowledge of the Swedish language, and basic computer skills.

We offer a six-month temporary position starting by agreement. The position is 75 percent. We would like you to start as soon as possible and place great importance on your ability to quickly integrate into the work.
